The 2009-2010 school year provided great opportunities for the ABHS Choir. On October 31st, the choir participated in All Region tryouts in Cabot, Arkansas. Taylor Wentz, alto, made 3rd chair and Andrew Russell, tenor, made 1st chair, making them eligible to audition for the All State Choir in February.
Salina Adolph, Lorna Kirkpatrick, and Hope Harper made the Women’s Chorus on soprano; and Andi Burroughs and Abby Thomas also made the chorus on alto. All of these students will participate in the All Region Choral Clinic November 21 with a concert at Robinson Auditorium that evening.
On Tuesday, November 3rd, the Arkansas Baptist Choir had the opportunity to sing on the PBS Special. They performed "To Where You Are" by Josh Groban. The show aired on PBS in March.
The Choir also had the opportunity to sing at the Capitol.
The director of the Arkansas Baptist Chior is Mrs. Rebecca Sanders.

Advanced Choir (HS)
These choirs perform the Madrigal Dinner in the fall. They also prepare music for the Choral Performance Assessment, the Spring Concert, and other opportunities as they arise. Students may also participate in a music festival held at an amusement park at the end of the year.
