Missions Week

The vision of ABHS Missions Week is to train it’s students in what it means to be a believer in Jesus Christ who balances the Great Commission with the Greatest Commandment, loving God with all of your heart, soul mind and strength, and loving others as yourself.
Psalm 96:3 says, “Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.” Arkansas Baptist High School Missions Week offers our students a unique opportunity to fulfill that purpose.
Who participates in Missions Week at ABHS?
All students in grades 9-12 will be a part of Missions Week. There are various options from which students can choose to serve both locally and abroad.
Acts 1:8 – “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
South Korea
This Team will leave on Wednesday, March 10th and return on Wednesday, March 24th. The cost is approximately $1500.
This amount will cover our airfare and a group of Korean churches plan to provide food and transportation throughout our stay. Students will be responsible for their own shopping and entertainment.

The team will be doing five days of Missions work while in Korea. The students will be working with a local public school, teaching English. We also have the opportunity to work with an English Academy where our team will be able to teach English using the story of Christ. The week will culminate with a large event led by our mission team in hopes that the parents of the students with which we have been working will attend. This is a town with a high Budhist population. It will be a great opportunity to share the gospel.
While in South Korea, we also plan to spend five days traveling across the country visiting important points of interest. These will include museums, the DMZ (if there are no safety concerns), and amusement areas.
Students will also have the opportunity while participating in this trip to earn ½ semester credit in international studies.

Where can you be a missionary?
Matthew 25:37
”Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and gave you drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You. Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You? And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly , I say to you, in as much as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
